"After the first brush-stroke, the canvas assumes a life of its own; at this point, you become both governor and spectator to your own event."

When I take a break from my commissioned pieces I have hundreds of ideas and l always have, what seems like, a hundred empty canvas ready to fill with ‘my own art’. I find I am brimming over with enthusiasm to start ‘my own’ next challenge - excited about what results I can bring forward. With all the detail I must do with the saw blade commissioned works, l am keen to find a release, using big brushes and allowing my fingers to play with colour and brushstroke alone, to see what happens and revel in the next adventure.
